Outsourcing

Not yet available

The production module isn't open in JennyERP yet — we're polishing samples, partners, inventory & finance first. This page describes the upcoming module so you can see what's ahead.

Outsourcing records the fabric you send out to a mill for a processing step — dyeing, printing, embroidery, heat-setting, coating, washing or finishing — and brings the processed fabric back, tracking how much you sent, how much returned, the shrinkage and the fee.

Because fabric often goes through several mills in sequence, JennyERP lets you chain rounds together: when one round comes back, you can send it straight on to the next process, keeping a connected history from greige to finished cloth.

The outsourcing list

Go to Outsourcing to see every outsourcing order. Each row shows:

ColumnMeaning
NumberThe outsourcing order number
FactoryThe mill doing the work
OrderThe linked production order (SO number)
ProcessThe processing step (dyeing, printing…)
ColorTarget color, where relevant
SentQuantity issued to the mill
ReturnedQuantity received back
ShrinkageActual shrinkage on return
StatusCurrent stage (see below)
TotalProcessing fee

Filter by status or search by number, factory or linked order. A price table (see below) is reachable from the top of the list.

Status flow

StatusMeaning
DraftBeing prepared
SentMaterials issued, awaiting return
Partially receivedSome fabric returned, more expected
ReceivedAll fabric back from the mill
CompletedRound finished
CancelledRound cancelled

A separate payment statusUnpaid, Partial or Paid — tracks the processing fee.

Issue materials (发料)

Create an outsourcing order from Outsourcing → New:

  1. Pick the factory (mill / processor)
  2. Optionally link the production order it belongs to
  3. Choose the process — pick a preset (Dyeing, Printing, Embroidery, Heat-set, Coating, Washing, Finishing) or type your own
  4. Set the color and, if needed, a VAT number
  5. Enter the quantity sent and the send date
  6. Record the expected return date and expected shrinkage (%)
  7. Enter the unit price for the processing

Saving issues the materials and puts the order into Sent.

The order detail keeps the send side and the return side as two panels — a send info panel (sent quantity, send date, expected return, expected shrinkage) and a return info panel (returned, scrap, received date, actual shrinkage).

Return materials (回料)

When the fabric comes back, open the order and choose Receive. Record:

  • Returned quantity
  • Scrap quantity (any unusable fabric)
  • Received date

JennyERP computes the actual shrinkage from what was returned against what was sent, and advances the status to Partially received or Received. Receiving can be done in several goes for a partial return.

Shrinkage

Outsourcing tracks shrinkage on both sides:

  • Expected shrinkage — your estimate, entered when you issue the materials
  • Actual shrinkage — calculated automatically from returned ÷ sent when you receive

Comparing the two tells you how each mill actually performs, which feeds back into your estimated greige need on future orders.

Settlement

Each round carries a unit price, a total fee and a payment status. Together with the linked production order and factory, this lets you see the processing cost of a run and what you still owe each mill.

Chain to the next round

When a round is received (or partially received), you can send the fabric straight on to the next process without re-keying it. Choose Next round and pick:

  • The next process
  • The next factory (optional)

JennyERP creates a new outsourcing order for the next step and links it to this one. The two are connected with previous round and next round shortcuts on each detail page, and each round shows its round number, so you can walk the whole processing chain — for example greige → dyeing → printing → finishing — in order.

TIP

A round can only be chained forward once, and only after it has come back. This keeps the chain linear and the history clean.

Outsourcing price table

The price table (reachable from the Outsourcing list) keeps standard processing rates per process and factory, with a price and a pricing unit. Use it as a reference when you set the unit price on a new round.
